Casper – Rehabilitating – In Need of Sponsors!
Casper is a 15 or 16-year-old Paso Fino Gelding who stands at 14.3 hands tall. We actually did not originally rescue Casper! He was abandoned at quarantine after he was bailed from a kill pen. We were asked if we could take him in and we said of course since he has already been through enough mentally. He got a ride to the rescue with Remy (who Race Funds bailed from a kill pen) who was quarantine in the same place. We do not know much about him as we don’t even know which kill pen he came from. We do know for sure someone at one point in his life abused him so badly that he has lost all trust towards humans. He strongly hates when someone tries to touch him and tries to get away from anyone. He shows no sign of aggression as he will just put his ears back. He has nothing but fear in his eyes, but we hope eventually he can understand that he will be okay here. We have volunteers who are currently working with him to show him that everyone that he is safe here. From the looks of it, it will probably take a good amount of time, but we have all the time in the world for him. We will continue to keep updating his page once he learns more about him and his personality! At this moment we are unsure if he is rideable, but our priority is to make him feel safe before seeing if he is rideable or not.
