Emmy – Crossed the Rainbow Bridge to Heaven.
Emmy is a 21-year-old Standardbred Mare who stands at 15 hands. Her U.S. Trotting racing name is “Princess Emmy”. During her racing career she performed 47 starts earning $63,000 and she had 3 babies. Sadly, once her racing career was over, she found herself in the Kill Pen. Emmy came very skinny and had severe ammonia. They weaned her last baby off her shortly before ending up in the Kill Pen. Sadly, she has been abused. She was an Amish buggy horse for a short amount of time then they decided to turn her into a broodmare. Her becoming a broodmare is the reason why she is sound. At some point during her life she had tie back surgery. Her tie back surgery apparently didn’t last her through her rough working years. It has taken some time for her to gain our trust. Now she has learned that she is safe here. She always wants people’s love and affection. Emmy is looking for her loving forever home! Emmy is needing a matured rider who is kind and understanding that wants to use Emmy for only pleasure riding. She can only be ridden lightly, no more buggy driving for her! She needs an individual who has a lot of time on their hands so they can get to know her and allow her to feel comfortable with you. Patience is key when it comes to Emmy! Sadly, on March 25th 2022 Emmy’s tie back surgery failed her making her airway blocked. She was struggling to breath and we were keeping an close eye for a few hours before making the final decision. She was fully sponsored by Powerhouse on Power LLC. We love you Emmy.
