Ladybug – Lightly Rideable – In Need of Sponsors
Ladybug is a 23 year old Standardbred who stands at 15.3 hands tall. Ladybug came to the rescue on June 25, 2021. Ladybug and her friend Beau were an Animal Control Case that was severe. We gladly took them in knowing they would need a lot of rehabilitation. Her friend Beau was more starved than she was. Upon arrival she was scared of everyone and everything that moved or made a noise. With the help of sweet treats and love we gained her trust. She allowed us to gain her trust first then showed her friend Beau that were were actually okay. It definitely took some time to gain their trust but it was definitely rewarding seeing their turnaround. Now Ladybug loves to be groomed, she is great if you just want to go talk to a horse and show love. She spends her days hanging out with her friend Beau and watching Beau play with Johnny Walker. She is more on the quiet side but is definitely a sweet horse. She loves to soak up the sun when eating hay at the hay ring. We think she can be ridden lightly by a small adult and kids. We will confirm this soon with a riding evaluation. She will need to be adopted out with Beau as they are closely bonded.
