Cyclone – Crossed the Rainbow Bridge to Heaven

Cyclone is a 17 or 18 year old Arabian Gelding who stands at 14.2 hands. He was rescued from a Kill Buyer in Pennsylvania. Cyclone was very timid on arrival, but has really turned a new leaf in the past few months. He is still cautious, but now walks up to people and will hang out for awhile. While he does ride, he is not suitable for more than light riding/pony rides with a small child due to his dropped pasterns. Cyclone had EPM that we was being treated for, we chose to do the Oral Medication. Cyclone had a rapid deline in his health to the point he could barely swallow along with being able to swallow his food. Cyclone was helped crossing the bridge to heaven it was definitely a tough decision but he could not live comfortably in his condition. NC State Veterinary School performed a necropsy and discovered the EPM caused a lesion in his brain. It would not have been fixable. We are very sad to lose such a sweet soul. We love you Cyclone!
