Sammy is an 18-year-old ex-Amish work horse who stands around 18 hands. Sammy was one of the three Belgians saved from the kill pen. Sammy is a very sweet, curious boy who loves to be around people. Due to lameness, he cannot be ridden, but would make a wonderful companion horse.
Update June 19, 2016 – SAMMY was adopted today by Mary V. and her daughter Amelia! Sammy was going to be a permanent rescue resident, but when we met these amazing people we knew that would change. Mary and Amelia offered Sammy a forever home, and we knew that he would get the daily attention and love that he deserves! We are so happy and excited for Sammy and his new family!
