Sam – Adopted Out to His Forever Home

Sam is a 23 year old Off-the-Track Thoroughbred Gelding. He was saved from the Kill Pen in Pennsylvania in January 2012. He spent over a month in quarantine gaining weight and fighting a case of strangles that had settled in his knee. In March 2012, he began going back to work, starting with simple round penning exercises to gain his trust and build muscle. His silly personality came out after bonding with our trainer, and it was discovered he is extremely well trained. Our wonderful trainer adopted him out, and has moved to the warm state of Texas with her. We wish them both the best.
