Metty – Adopted to His Forever Home!!
Metty is a 15 year old Thoroughbred Gelding who stands at _ hands. We currently can’t state his Jockey Club name or about his career, when we’re allowed we will. Sadly, over his racing career was over he found in a Kill Pen located in Mississippi. Thanks to Racefund who bail out, quarantine, and find sanctuaries, rescues and or forever homes for raced Thoroughbreds. Since he was bailed out of the Kill Pen he has been in quarantine. He has gained a lot of weight while at quarantine, when he arrives he won’t have that much longer until he is fully rehabilitated. He arrived here at the rescue on December 26 ,2021. Upon arrival he is extremely kind and just wants to be everyone’s buddy horse or human. He does have severe rain rot which we have started to treat immediately. Our vet has looked at him and she thinks he stifle issue on the back right side. He also has an injury on his Cannon bone that has already beginning to heal. He is a sweet loving guy who just loves to spread the love. He is easy going and loves the attention of humans. Metty has now found his forever home with a horse named Cash. Their owner reached out to us needed a companion horse as their companion horse recently crossed the rainbow bridge to Heaven. Paul came to the rescue and fell in love with Metty. He says that Metty acts like he has lived there forever which is amazing! Metty and Cash are becoming the best of friends. He has finally earned his retirement that he deserved. We wish the best memories and long years for Paul and Metty! While Metty was here he was fully sponsored by Colin H., thank you for supporting him until he found his forever home.
