Fancy – Adopted to Her Forever Home
Fancy is a 8 year old Paint Mare . She is an easy keeper with a very sweet personality. Fancy was a owner surrender thankfully! The owner moved out of the state and the barn where Fancy was boarded at tried to sell her for Fancy’s owner. Sadly the barn started to decrease the price lower and lower. It came down to a man who stated “that he was headed to Texas with a load of cattle and did not matter if Fancy was sound or not”. Do you knows what this means? It means that he was going to sell her to a feedlot (Slaughter). Fancy was 1,000lbs which he would get approximately $550.00 (.55 cents per lb). The Barn owner is a wonderful person who denied the man taking Fancy. Fancy has a bit of arthritis in her knees, only a child can ride her lightly around the property. Since she had such a limit on who could ride her no one wanted her so the Barn owner surrender her to us.
