Chautauqua Action – Adopted to His Forever Home!!

Chautauqua Action is a 17-year-old Standardbred Gelding who stands at 15.3 hands. He was a harness racer with 124 starts who won over $60,000. He decided to keep his USTA name since it fit him so much. After his racing career was over, Chautauqua ended up with the Amish but thankfully they did not lame him, and he is sound. When he arrived at the rescue in May 2020, he was very skin, had road shoes on which you could tell have been on for months, and quite scared of anything. He also arrived with mud all up his legs as you can see in the picture. Even though he went through a lot to before arriving at the rescue, he still managed to gain our trust to wash all the mud off. He came with EZA another Standardbred who have become best friends. He was saved from Slaughter in Pennsylvania. Chautauqua a sweet loving guy who needs someone who is willing to take time to gain his trust. He is more on the shy side until he gains your trust. Once you have his trust, he will finally express his personality which can be silly at times! He does need an experience rider due to him being head strong. He is receiving 30 days of professional training as a refresher because we believe he was a driving horse instead of a riding horse. His driving days are over, he is sound to w/t/c. Chautauqua Action was adopted out on January 29, 2021 to a wonderful family who will make many great memories with!
