Blaze – Adopted to His Forever Home
Blaze is a 3 year old Quarter Horse Gelding who stands at 14.5 hands. Blaze was saved from Slaughter August 2019, he ended up in a kill pen because he was a Cryptorchid. When a horse is a Cryptorchid that means only one testicle drops while the other one is still in the abdomen. It is very costly to get cryptorchid gelding because they have to go into the abdomen to get the other testicle. Many people only cut the dropped testicle and label the horse as a Gelding. Sadly it doesn’t work like that because the hormones will still be high making the horse still act like a stud. Blaze was sent to NC State Veterinary School to get gelded and he became a happy gelding. After he healed he went to training with John Clark for 30 days. Blaze was such an odd ball horse because he was always just everywhere. He would always play with any horse who would play back. He was a mischievous horse which made him very accident prone. He loved to be talked to like a baby and loves to be brushed. He was adopted along with Wildfire, a 3 year old Standardbred and they both moved to Montana! Blaze has watched the cowboys herd the cows and now he likes to herd Wildfire like them!
