Bella is a 17-year-old, 15.3 hand, OTTB Mare. Her Jockey Club name was “Don’t Mess With Hess” and she has an excellent pedigree. Bella was saved from the kill pen before being shipped for slaughter (photo on left).
Update July 2016. Bella is being fostered by Nicole C., LMHR’s Adoption Coordinator, as of May 2016. Bella was previously fostered by Linda Townsend, and her daughter Jamie, for over a year. Bella received excellent care from Jamie and Linda and she was even retrained! Bella has been shown, and has won in the ring, for Walk/Trot/Canter. Bella needs an advanced beginner rider. She is wonderful under saddle but has a couple little quirks and can’t be cross-tied. Bella can be ridden on trails or in the ring.
Update August 1, 2016 — We are thrilled to announce that Bella has been adopted to her FOREVER home by Melissa C. We know that Melissa and Bella will have an amazing life together.
