Antarus – Adopted to His Forever Home
Antarus is a 8 year old Tobiano Paint Gelding who stands at 14.3 hands. He was saved from Slaughter at 7 years old; he was most likely dumped because he was untrained. He is most likely a product of over-breeding. His name Antarus comes from the four horses in the chariot race movie called “Ben Hur” were “named from stars in the sky”. Their names were Aldebaran, Altair, Antarus, and Rigel which is Arabic names for these particularly bright stars that are still in use. He was sent to training shortly arriving to the rescue. He was scared of many things he had a hard past. He did not respond with the training so we sent him to another trainer. He responding a little bit of training but needed more. Thankfully Harley adopted Antarus and sent him to Jerry King, Jerry was finally the trainer who understood Antarus and now he is fully trained! He is such a sweet beautiful horse who finally got his forever home.
