Rahbadabadou – Light Riding – In Need of Sponsors!
Rahbadabadou is a 16-year-old Off-the-Track Thoroughbred Mare who stands at __ hands. Her Jockey Club Racing Name is “Rahbadabadou”, but we also call her Pebbles sometimes. She only had one start during her racing career which means could her have been injured on the track and they did not want to wait for her injury to heal or she wasn’t showing the potential that they hoped for. During her one race she did make $400. They decided to try a different career path with her as a broodmare since she has a great bloodline, she has 3 registered babies under her name. After the last baby was weaned off of her, she found herself in a kill pen. She was bailed from the kill pen by Race Funds (huge thanks for them), and she was quarantined here at the rescue. We have a space of our property where it is separated from the other horses to allow us to quarantine them and saves the rescue money. She was saved with another Off-the-Track Thoroughbred named Alice Wonderland that was quarantined here at the rescue as well. Alice Wonderland went to Red Feather Farm and Sanctuary. Once Rahbadabadou completed her quarantine she was moved to the other side of the property where all of the other horses are. She quickly fell in love with Thunder who is an another Off-the-Track Thoroughbred. They are normally within 10 feet of each other and do everything together. We were told she can be ridden lightly but she will receive a soundness evaluation soon to determine if she is still sound. All she wants is to please you and wants endless love! She is definitely a sweetheart and never really starts any drama in the pastures but will defend herself if needed. We will continue to update her page when we learn more about her!
