Lupita – Companion Horse – In Need of Sponsors
Lupita is a 21 year old Paso Fino Mare who stands at 14.3 hands. Lupita came to the rescue along with Precious, Tommy, and Josie as a local surrender case. The previous owner did this to ensure that they will receive the best care and were safe. Lupita was the second most malnourished horse and was severely scared of people. She wouldn’t come even remotely close to a volunteer, especially if we had food! She has some trust issues that were caused from her previous owner. She has come a long ways but still needs a lot more work before she is a fully trusting horse. She is not sound to ride and is looking for someone who could work with her daily to gain her trust. If she is worked with daily she will drop that mental barrier and eventually will be the best version of herself. She is more on the quiet side when it comes to personality but if she is consistently worked with who knows she might have a large bold personality! You can often find her sticking close by to Tommy, Josie, or Precious as she trusts them the most. Lupita has recently fell in love with Artie the Standardbred! Everywhere you see one horse the other isn’t far behind. We are hoping that they can be adopted together since they have become bonded. She is hard to get a great picture of but we will try again soon!
