Jasmine – Ready for Adoption – In Need of Sponsors!!
Jasmine is a 16-month year old Filly who stands at 14.3 hands. The rescue bailed her from a kill pen in Texas! It is so sad to see how young she is and how she ended up in a horrible situation. When she was at the kill pen she was labeled as a 18-month-old Yearling. Our vet came to examine her and when she looked at the teeth, she said she is only 16-month-old in September 2022. She arrived here at the rescue on April 30, 2022. She was quarantined on the other side of the property since she arrived with a snotty nose. To help with her snotty nose she receives antibiotics 3 times a day in her food. She is about a 1.5 on the body scale. She is curious about us but is still not trusting of humans. On May 12,2022 she gained a new friend! Ariel who is a new rescue needing quarantine joined her. At first Jasmine was pushing Ariel around since Ariel is 15 years old but they quickly became friends. Sadly, her friend Ariel had to be put to sleep since her coffin bone was deteriorating and making her in pain 24/7. We brought Jasmine to the other side of the rescue where all the other horses are located. She has made several friends now since being on this side. She is now looking for his forever home! She can halter and be tied up. At the current moment she does not have any bad habits. She is needing a home with someone that will be able to have lots of time to spend with her. She does have basic manners and loves to be right in your pocket! She is being adopted out as a companion since she is too young to ride. We will be trying to get better pictures of her soon.
