Emmy – Ready for Adoption – Rideable

Emmy is a 19 year old Standardbred Mare who stands at 16 hands. She found herself in the Slaughter pipeline last winter after winning around $50,000 in harness racing, her USTA name is “Princess Emmy”. Emmy came very skinny and had severe ammonia. Sadly she has been abused. She was an Amish buggy horse for a short amount of time then they decided to turn her into a broodmare. Her becoming a broodmare is the reason why she is sound. It has taken some time for her to gain our trust. Now she has learned that she is safe here. She always wants people’s love and affection. Emmy is needing a matured rider who is kind and understanding that wants to use Emmy for only pleasure riding. She can only be ridden lightly, no more buggy driving for her! She needs an individual who has a lot of time on their hands so they can get to know her and allow her to feel comfortable with you. Patience is key when it comes to Emmy!
